  Southwest 2 day tour                

This ITINERARY  runs from December to June Price Adults $275 conc $252  Twin share $30 extra
DAY 1
We begin with a drive South through historic Mandurah (one of the fasted growing towns in Australia) and Bunbury (second largest town in WA) on route to Donnybrook (the fruit capital of the southwest) to purchase fruit and vegetables. Next Stop Manjimup (gateway to the karri forest), to test your nerve, climb Diamond tree Fire lookout (the tallest wooden lookout in the world) and then we have a picnic lunch, surrounded by the scents and sounds of the karri forest to let your heart stop pounding. Back on the road then for a drive through virgin karri forest to the Tree Top walk, a tour of living natural history. We explore Walpole next for local arts and crafts as well as a bottle shop for your convenience before arriving at our accommodation in the forest near Pemberton.

DAY 2
After a night around the fire we rise to a wonderful crisp southwest morning. An early start to spot some kangaroos or emus and then explore the lovely and famous Lakes cave, With fascinating Aboriginal and Native history displays. A chance for a refreshing early swim at the mouth of Margaret River. Then a stroll through Margaret River Town for a chance to purchase local souvenirs. After lunch we enjoy some wine tasting at an exclusive winery and a visit to the chocolate company for the ritual tastings! Then we head back to Bunbury for a boat cruise with wild dolphins on Koombana Bay before returning to the city at approximately 7:00 pm.

       

(seasonal) 3 hour Whale Watching Cruise
This itinerary will be revised in whale season (June/November) to capture the whale experience. Check the Specials section.

Includes all lunches, dinner day 1, breakfast. Shared backpacker-style accommodation and all tours and entry fees. Sleeping bags can be hired. Free pick-up from most city hostels, hotels or from the Wellington Street Tourist Coach Stand (Outside bus station - see map).

 

Please advise at time of booking if vegetarian meals are required. Personal Travel insurance is not included and is recommended. We travel in air-conditioned buses, Department of Transport 1, 2 & 3 star rating.
