Western Australia Whale Watching Trip
For a fun filled whale watching trip join our popular 2-3 day SouthWest Discovery Tours for an adventure you'll never forget!
Our whale watching trip starts in Perth from June to November and heads south to the Augusta Margaret River wine growing region via Donnybrook, Bunbury, Manjimup and Walpole. You will see some of the best countryside Australia has to offer and visit the tallest wooden lookout in the world, the Diamond Tree Lookout. You will also visit the Tree Top Walk above the Karri forest.
Whale watching cruise on day 2
Day 2, we head to Augusta where your whale watching trip on board the purpose built Catamaran "Whale Watcher" departs for an exciting whale watching cruise on Flinders Bay.
Massive Humpback Whales heading north from their feeding grounds in Antartica migrate to Flinders Bay to find a mate before continuing their northward journey. Your whale watching cruise takes you amongst these wonderful creatures for a spectacular, safe, comfortable close up view.
The Southern Right Whale and the Blue Whale also frequent the waters off the southwest corner. The Blue Whale is the loudest creature on our planet. It is also larger than any of the early dinosaurs, reaching 100 feet in length and up to 130 tonnes! A whale watching cruise doesn't get any bigger or any better than this!
What to take on your whale watching cruise
Make sure you capture the highlights of the whale watching cruise on camera, video, sound recorder or all three. Don't get caught out, ensure you take spare film and batteries, along with a warm jacket and sun cream. You'll be surprised how close your whale watching cruise will get to these magnificent mammals. Take lots of photos to show friends and family your great adventure. Ask them to come and see the whales for themselves!
